Interior surfaces of storage tanks and reservoirs
Tank lining products must combine exceptional anti-corrosive performance with effective chemical resistance.
Two-component epoxy products are commonly used for coating the interiors of tanks. The Tikkurila range includes modern 100%-solid solvent-free epoxy paints with extremely good chemical resistance to oil, petrol, jet fuel and kerosene as well as to hydrocarbons such as diesel and heating oil, motor and gear oils.


A tank lining system should be chosen only after a thorough study of stress conditions. The strength and temperature of the chemicals to be stored in the tank are crucial to the service life of the paint film. E.g. the interiors of storage tanks for gas and petroleum products require a lining that can withstand heavy ambient chemical and thermal stresses.
